Who?

Anyone interested in learning how to study the Bible for themselves

Why?

To grow in your faith / we are all still growing!
To be educated on what the Bible says for themselves
To research the claims of Christianity if you don’t know much about it / to study it for yourself

What?

Think of it as a gym for your own spiritual growth, to grow in your ability to learn the Bible for yourself

Helpful if you have never studied the Bible
Helpful if you have studied the Bible your whole life
Learn how to use “old school” Bible study reference materials
Learn how to use new Bible Study Software — amazing / Eventually we will have a few computers to use when on site
Research something you are interested in / get direction if needed
Learn how to study the Bible for your own spiritual growth
You can come and find encouragement from other believers who study scripture
No intimidation / no pressure / no cost / no commitment
No pushy proselytizing allowed / just learning and studying the Bible / civil discussion is great! / Respect one another.

When?

Saturday mornings – 8:30am to Noon / Open Study Times

Come for a bit of it, come for the whole time, you choose how much time you want to spend in the spiritual “gym”

When you show up you can (1) begin studying the Bible on your own, (2) join someone else studying something (3) ask for help in learning how to study the Bible, (4) ask for help starting a Bible study of your own (5) work through one of a few pre-designed Bible Study templates.

When we get up and running fully we will have (1) a small library of Bible Study helps books available for you to use on-site (2) have a few computers and/or iPads with Logos downloaded on them for you to use (3) have a printer that you can use to print out studies or your findings from study if partially done digitally.

We will host weekly Mini-Workshops on How to Study the Bible / 10-11am / These first four will be led by Rick McNally of First Hand Truth / guest speakers on the docket

Where?

Downtown Battle Creek at the lovely offices of JPG Resources
Use rear entrance to Cafe Rica off Hamblin Ave.
2nd Floor offices accessible from the stairs just inside the outer door, or by an elevator just down the hall.
Get a coffee beforehand at Cafe Rica
