Testimonials

Rick,

You shared a quote recently from Michael S. Heiser: “Bible reading is not Bible study.” That stuck with me. I try to be in the word (reading it) regularly and that is super important to keep it in the front of my mind. BUT when I take the time to really study it, I get even more out of it.

The How to Study the Bible workshops are a wonderful introduction to several different techniques. The practical hands-on examples that we went through are great to get the feel of how and where to apply those techniques! The various techniques really complimented one-another and equipped me with a tool box of methods to study different parts of scripture.

I have already seen uses for several of those techniques in my own personal study. I found that by diagramming a passage, ! was able to understand it so much better. Through diagramming consecutive passages, the logical flow of the whole book became very apparent and the context led to a deeper understanding of the book as a whole compared with reading a chapter at a time.

Thanks for leading these workshops! 10/10 Highly recommend!

Nick

“We are very grateful for Rick’s Basics of Logos training. For new or inexperienced users, the software, while very powerful, can be daunting. Rick’s training helps users gain confidence in the software basics, allowing them to immediately begin digging deeper into God’s Word and establishing a foundation on which they can develop further skills. Rick presents in a winsome and engaging manner and is always happy to take the time to answer questions and come alongside those who are struggling.” — Bryan MacPhail-Fausey, Pastor/Elder @ Calvary Baptist Church, Battle Creek, MI

“Very impressive and useful information… Group sessions follow a relaxed atmosphere of give and take, question and answer, at the end of the session, people feel that they can go home and put into action what has been discussed. Participants are encouraged to get spiritual nourishment First Hand!”  – Pastor Dale,  Battle Creek, MI

“Reinvigorating!  Rick’s message is that each of us NEED to study the Bible for ourselves, and each of us CAN!  We have the Holy Spirit within us and a lot of tools at our disposal.  Come to this seminar and learn something new and get excited to practice.”  – John, Battle Creek, MI

“My wife and I both benefited greatly from attending the seminar.  While we have studied the Bible for many years, this was a helpful reset to get refocused and evaluate new tools/ideas to study and enhance our understanding of the Psalms and scripture as a whole.  Thank you for your clear, solid efforts to make a quality seminar.”  – Tim and Stephanie, Battle Creek, MI

Q: “What can we do to improve the workshop?  A: Maybe the time? It seems we didn’t get enough [time] or maybe it was that good that time flew by fast. :)”  – Jonjon, Stockholm, Sweden (from a post-workshop review, after a two-hour webinar on “how to study the Bible for yourself)
